The Ceylon Gem Registry gets rid of the anonymity part. Anyone can list for free, and sellers who pass our identity and NGJA licence checks earn the green Verified badge, so you can see who has been checked. We keep the network tight so you can safely skip the traditional trade middlemen.
To earn the Verified badge, a seller submits a valid National Identity Card (NIC) or passport, plus their business details, and our team checks them by hand.
Verified dealers also supply a valid National Gem & Jewellery Authority (NGJA) dealer licence number, which we check by hand, so you know you're dealing with a licensed trader.
Listings show whether the seller has uploaded a lab report (GIA, GRS, FGA, or an authorised local lab). CGR doesn't inspect stones, so always check the report number with the lab's own verification tool before you pay.
Our platform bans digital saturation tools, artificial contrast tweaks, and generative-AI image filters outright. Stones have to be shot in natural daylight or under professional 5500K balanced grading bulbs.
Because CGR is a directory, not a payment middleman, your deal skips the standard 5% to 15% marketplace markup, and CGR itself charges nothing. The prices you see on dealer vaults are raw, direct wholesale numbers.

Open classified boards let scammers spin up a new throwaway profile every time they get caught. CGR is open to everyone, so we lean on the Verified badge and on you: every listing has a "Report" link, and listings reported by several people are hidden automatically until our team reviews them.
Misrepresenting a stone's treatment (e.g., passing a beryllium-diffused gem off as standard heat treatment, or a synthetic diamond as natural) gets your account shut down immediately, bans you from the registry for good, and gets reported directly to the National Gem & Jewellery Authority.
